The basic scientific approaches and methods of the theory of option strategies for substantiation of the processes of functioning of the construction industry are analyzed, and theoretical and methodological aspects of their application are determined. Novelty, perspective of option strategies and limited managerial capabilities when using the methodology for determining the standard indicators of the feasibility of implementing construction projects, at present, lead to an increasing number of different techniques, focusing on option assessment of construction and reconstruction projects. Although the conceptual framework already has a definite definition, the range of issues dealing with uncertainty factors, randomness during the preliminary analysis, increase of reliability of the project, etc. is defined and considered. The proposed methods of option strategic planning can provide improved quality of preliminary analysis of the project and the formation of appropriate organizational, managerial and technical and technological decisions.
