This report proposes an approach to the design of sonotrodes used in the processes of ultrasonic welding of polymeric products along the ring path. The configuration is two cones, which are connected to each other on the surface S2. In working mode, the mode of fluctuations of the upper cone is close to the first longitudinal mode of the conical rod, and the mod of the lower cone is close to the first bending mode of the oscillation of the linear-variable thickness disc. The design task consists in the fact that according to a given value of the external radius R3, which determines the contour of the welding seam; resonance frequency; the coefficient of amplification of longitudinal displacements from the upper end to the working surface to determine other geometric parameters. The purpose of this research is the scientific and technical substantiation of the improvement of techniques for the design of ultrasonic technological sonotrodes of complex forms during their modeling for the estimation of frequency properties. In addition to the functional limitations, there are limits to strength. In this study, a condition is considered, which is determined by the limit values ??of the intensity of voltage amplitudes at a given value of the normal displacement of the working edge. In the proposed approach, the configuration of the sonotrode for welding is determined by synthesis of the upper and lower cones, the sizes of which can be corrected by the method of overlaying the spectral (resonance) curves corresponding to the required modes of oscillation. According to the data obtained during modeling, the corresponding drawings are constructed. The necessary conclusions are made.
