The dynamics of the components of healthy life expectancy at the age of 65 are analyzed and the change in the quality of population for the same health is found, as related to the change in the cohort composition of the population (a sharp decrease in the share of cohorts until 1935 with high mortality and transition to older age groups with increased risk of death of a healthier generation of baby boomers (1946-1965), and with decreasing heterogeneity of the population at the risk of death after prolonged extinction of weak contingents under the pressure of crisis living conditions. It is determined that an important age feature of the volume of loss of healthy life due to premature death from tumors is their reduction with age, while such losses due to diseases of the circulatory system in the transition from the age group of 50-69 years to the group of 70 years and older increase not less than 2.5 times. The loss of healthy life due to premature death is analyzed and it is found out that the priority in forming these losses belongs to irrational nutrition with the further strengthening of the effect of this factor with increasing age. It is noted that smoking, as a known factor in premature death, collects its tragic tribute to almost the same extent in all age groups, and alcohol abuse only decreases its harmful effects with age by one third.
