In 17.8 ± 1.7% of patients with clinical manifestations of allergies, antibodies to cross-reacting carbohydrate determinants (CCD) were detected. The percentage of detection of antibodies to CCD significantly increased in patients with 5 or more positive markers; such patients significantly changed the epidemiological picture of the sensitization of the population by increasing the percentage of positivity to plant, insect allergens, as well as to latex. The tactics of serological diagnosis of allergic diseases in polysensitized patients is proposed: repeated examination using a CCD blocker, which made possible optimizing of molecular diagnostics use and prescribing of rational specific immunotherapy.
