Somatic pathology combined with schizophrenia intensifies psychopathological symptoms, modifies the clinical manifestations of schizophrenia, reduces the level of social realization of patients, and requires the attention of clinicians when developing treatment strategies. The combination of schizophrenia with chronic somatic disorders is characterized by certain features and specifics of the pathology of emotional functioning. In particular, patients with schizophrenia with somatic disorders were characterized by the presence and severity of emotional disorders primarily of the depressive spectrum, namely hypothimia in patients with CVD and dysthymia in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 and obesity.
