Work issue: introduction invasion of new species, preservation and replenishment of collections on phytogeographical plots and expositional site "Rare plant of Ukraine's flora", study on stages of ontogeny and state of introductory populations of rare and endangered species of natural flora of temperate zone of Eurasia, and development of scientific bases for their protection ex situ. Research methods: chorological, phytocoenotic, quantitative population investigation, introductive, phytosozological methods, laboratory-based methods of seeds study. The results of introduction and ex situ conservation of rare and endangered species of Eurasian's natural flora in Ukraine are given, on the base of research conducted on the phytogeographical plots and expositional site "Rare plants of Ukraine's flora" in M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The experience of introduction of rare and endanger plant species in M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was analyzed, and the new method of ex situ conservation of floristic diversity by the way of introductory populations modelling in forest and steppe cultural phytocoenosis was proposed. The results of comparative coeonotic and population study of rare species of Eurasian temperate zone natural flora in nature and culture were given, and the suggestions on improving of floristic diversity in situ conservation were formulated. The common factors of formation and functioning of introductory populations of Eurasian natural flora rare species were described, and the phytosozological significance of phytogeographical plots for floristic diversity conservation was shown. The research of state of number of Ukraine's flora rare and endangered species natural populations were conducted, and it was found that in the conditions of global warming some species (Sarothamnus scoparius, Hedera helix) are expanding their ranges and need to be excluded from the Red Lists and lists of regionally rare plants, other species (Cypripedium calceolus, Colchicum fominii, Daphne cneorum) are degrading and require for urgent protection measures. The 16 essays for the new edition of the Red Book of Ukraine were written by the materials of conducted researches, including 4 essays for species, which are recommended to be listed into the Red Data Book of Ukraine for the first time. The botanical nature reserve of national significance, 5 botanical and 1 landscape reserves of local significance were established on the base of scientific justification of natural flora department employees, in Ternopil, Cherkasy region and in Kyiv city, resulting in significant improving of number of rare species conservation, listed into the Red Data Book of Ukraine of plant species. Kea words: flora, biological diversity, species, population, introduction, collection, cultural phytocoenosis, in sity conservation, ex sity conservation, Ukraine, Eurasia.
