The purpose of the research is to improve the elements of technology of cultivation of different types of sesame seeds in the arid steppe region of Ukraine. Research methods - field, quantitative-weight, calculation-comparative, mathematical-statistical. Basic information on the productivity of different sesame varieties in the arid steppe region of Ukraine under drip irrigation conditions was obtained. The highest productivity under the conditions of drip irrigation is formed by the Husar variety of sesame where the weight of seeds per plant was 4.6 g, while the varieties of Cadet and Boyarin were 26% and 23% respectively. Black Indian sesame in southern Ukraine continues the growing season and does not have time to reach, so it was the least productive among the studied varieties, although the mass of 1000 seeds it has the highest 3.26 g. The highest yield (0.84 t / ha) was formed by the Husar variety, which belongs to the medium ripeness group. The highest yield of sesame, depending on the method of irrigation was obtained on the surface drip irrigated 0.89 t / ha with an increase relative to the control of 0.36 t / ha. On drip soil, they received 0.11 t / ha more than irrigation by normal sprinkling. The highest oil content of sesame seeds was obtained by irrigation with a sprinkling of 57.1%, with an oil yield of 263.3 kg / ha. Assessment of the economic efficiency of using different methods of irrigation of sesame seeds showed that the highest yield - 55245 UAH / ha provides drip irrigation, profitability at the same time was 283%.
