Orthopedic devices for immobilization and fixation of bones after fractures are usually made of metal because they have to maintain mechanical integrity and biocompatibility for the period of splicing of bone. Traditionally, these metal implants are made of titanium and stainless steel. Magnesium has been proposed as a revolutionary implant material that overcomes the limitations of common metal materials. Magnesium is light, has a low density and exhibits a high value of strength to weight ratio. The modulus of elasticity of Mg has a value of 45 GPa and therefore, in comparison with the present clinical metals, is much closer in this indicator to the properties of bones. During the implementation of the first phase of the project, the possibility of obtaining gas detonation coatings based on tricalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite on magnesium was investigated, and the first studies of their properties were performed. Also, medical and biological investigations of implants with gas-detonation coatings applied to stainless steel were carried out.5481 Product Description popup.authors Клюй Андрій Миколайович Клюй Микола Іванович Лозінський Володимир Борисович Слєпкін Олексій Павлович Темченко Володимир Павлович popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
