THERMOELECTRICITY, DETECTORS, COOLING, MODELLING. The object of the study are the physical processes taking place in stage thermoelectric coolers for X-ray detectors. The subject of the study is a stage thermoelectric cooler for X-ray detectors. The purpose of the work is the development of a highly efficient thermoelectric cooler for X-ray detectors, which allows general improving of their resolution and expanding the possibilities of practical applications. The research method includes methods of thermophysics and thermodynamics, physics of semiconductors and solid state physics, methods of object-oriented computer design and optimization of thermoelectric multistage cooling module, and methods of optimal control theory. The design and optimization of a multistage thermoelectric cooler of x-ray detectors has been performed. A design of a thermoelectric device has been developed that ensures the necessary temperature and thermal conditions for the operation of an X-ray detector. An experimental sample of a thermoelectric cooler for an X-ray detector was fabricated and its experimental study was performed.
