The appropriateness of introducing water treatment technologies that are able to reduce doses of chlorine and simultaneously increase bactericidal and oxidative effects, in particular combined methods (chlorine dioxide, oxidants, etc.). In order to match the quality of drinking water with the requirements of legislation on its aggressiveness, in particular, to prevent rust and lime plaque, modern phosphate-based reagents should be envisaged. On the basis of the conducted researches, drafts of amendments to the State Sanitary Rules and norms of DSANPiN 2.2.4-171-10 "Hygienic Requirements for drinking water intended for human consumption" have been developed.
