The object of research is electromagnetic and thermal processes in elements of structures of turbogenerators in different modes of their work. The subject of research - the design elements of powerful generating synchronous machines, in particular turbine generators. The purpose of the work is to improve the design of turbine generators to increase their stability and reliability of operation in different operating modes. On the basis of developed models and conducted studies, data were obtained on the distribution of additional losses of power and vortex currents in separate constructive elements of turbogenerators. A set of technical solutions and recommendations for improving the construction of turbine generators has been formulated. The results of the work are important for the development of Ukraine's electricity industry, in particular nuclear and thermal, to increase the reliability of turbine generators.
