The study of the content of brain neurohormones which influence the vascular tone has shown that hereditary arterial hypertension in SHR rats, results in a significant reduction in the content of brain natriuretic peptide, beta endorphine and angiotensin along with a significant increase in neurotensin expression in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus. In the neurons of the vagus nerve dorsal complex and brain stem locus coeruleus arterial hypertension leads to a decrease of depressor neuropeptides (beta-endorphin, lei-met-enkephalin) parameters of expressions.
