Investigations have been carried out to determine the level of safety of textile materials treated with biocidal substances of the thiosulfonate structure of ETS, MTS and ATS. It is experimentally confirmed that the biocidal substances of ETS, MTS and ATS are low toxic and environmentally friendly, thence before and after treatment by them the hygienic parameters of the fabrics had not changed, which meets the criteria of safety for the human health. It is experimentally proven that treatment of textile materials with biocidal products of thiosulfonate structure allows obtaining at the same time two desired effects on these fabrics - providing them with appropriate bio-resistance and water resistance, and due to the treatment, the indices of water absorption of the materials reduce by an average of 25-40%. The obtained results can be the initial data for the development of scientifically based requirements for the cloth production for special and technical purpose.
