Methods of research: the dialectic method of cognition of social phenomena; system approach; statistical methods of information processing - to study various sources of information and to determine the degree of objectivity of scientific results in forming the components of strategic development of enterprises in a competitive environment; methods of system and comparative analysis, elements of forecasting, logical generalization, etc. The object of the study is the development of industrial enterprises in the context of European integration. The subject of the study is the processes of innovative development of industrial enterprises in Ukraine and a set of methodological tools that ensure their effective integration into the European common market. As a result of the R & D work, methodical tools for the formation of strategies for innovative development of enterprises and methodology for the creation of strategies for the innovation development of industrial enterprises that are adequate to the requirements of the EU are developed; the methodological principles of the development of quasi-integration structures based on interacting productions are proposed; the theoretical and methodological bases of management of sustainable development of industrial enterprises in ensuring safety in the European market are indicated; the expediency of forming an innovative management system for the development of industry in the region was substantiated in the context of strengthening the strategic potential of the PKK.
