Climatogenic changes of the state of populations of rare species of vascular plants and mosses in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians are established on the basis of the main individual and group parameters: variability of ontogenesis of individuals, number, density, shape and volume of population habitats, qualitative and quantitative signs of growth, development and reproduction. The dynamics of rare petrophytic, chionophilic, hygrophytic alpine and subalpine phytocoenoses is investigated. Climatogenic threats to the existence of populations and groups of rare species of plants have been identified. On the basis of biennial studies and retrospective analysis, the prospects of the existence of rare species of plants have been evaluated and measures to preserve their viability have been developed.
