Flowmeters with extended ranges of geometric dimensions of measuring pipes and orifice plates" was developed. This standard provides normalization of differential pressure flowmeters application with the extended ranges of geometric dimensions of measuring pipes and orifice plates. The limits are defined for extending these ranges that are specified in the standards DSTU GOST 8.586.1-2:2009. Implementation of SOU will provide the possibility for prolonging the operation period of a considerable number of natural gas metering units in "Ukrtransgas" JSC in the conditions of meeting the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "About metrology and metrological activity" for these units. This in turn will provide the possibility for making a planned reconstruction of natural gas metering units during an economically justified period which will lead to a significant reduction of costs for this reconstruction.
