There were made the fixation of the monuments of Ukrainian art and the introduction of significant number of them into scientific circulation during the research. As well, there was underlined the specificity of the creation of means of artistic expressiveness in its comparison with European tendencies. There were considered also main stages of the formation and development of individual styles and trends in Ukrainian art and contextualized them with the European artistic processes.
