V. Ya. Yuriev popup.description2 Study object: millet breeding. Study purpose: to identify sources of high grain quality, drought resistance, resistance to smut, to create high-yielding drought-resistant varieties with high grain quality and grain-fodder varieties with permanent flowering capacity, high yield of green mass, hay and grain. Research methods: field (visual); laboratory (weighing); biochemical; statistical. Results. The possibility of obtaining drought-resistant forms that combine high plant performance with high technological and biochemical indicators of quality was proved. In 2016, 7 lines (L 05-2016, L 05-2613, L 05-1065, L 08-4264, L 06-10534, L 03-3748, L 07-4868) belonging to various ripeness groups, with high drought resistance, high yields and increased biochemical indicators of grain quality were transferred to the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine (NCPGRU). In 2017, a drought-resistant variety millet, Kazkove Dzherelo, with high yield capacity and grain quality was created and submitted to the state variety trial. In 2018, 5 lines (L 09-3452, L 09-2840, L 08-2374, L 12-4381, L 12-4706), which combine increased yields of grain, green mass and hay with high biochemical indicators of quality, were transferred to the NCPGRU. Grain-Fodder millet variety Dyvovyzhne was submitted to the state variety trial. As of 2018, 9 varieties bred in the PPI nd.a VYa Yuriev NAAS are in the Register of Plant Varieties recommended for cultivation in Ukraine. Varieties Alternative, Osoblyve and Kazkove Dzherelo are being tested in the state variety trials. In 2016-2018, 2,013,330 UAH from sales of scientific and technical products was contributed to the special fund of the Institute (1,110,500 UAH in 2018). The estimated cost of work under the agreement with the main institution is 482,720 UAH for the reporting period. (216,900 UAH in 2018), i.e. 4.17 UAH per 1 UAH of public funds was earned, which shows the breeding effectiveness within the project Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
