The aim of the work is to ensure the reliable storage of ex-situ germplasm, identification of the gene pool for the creation of special collections, participation in research programs, which will ensure the steady growth of size and the quality of the harvest of new varieties and hybrids, profitability, energy and resource conservation. A complex of studies on the formation, maintenance and preservation of collections was carried out a total volume of 23129 accesses. Selection from the collection of 1191 sources of valuable features, the formation of the basic collection of common vetch, the working of maize, a representative of buckwheat, a special collection of wheat. Stored in a living state seeds of 22921 accesses. Representative collections was supplemented with data on 503 accesses and information databases - by 7,0 thousand accesses. 3580 accesses have been sent to users. To the National Centre for preservation were sent 2296 accesses. SRO of Ukraine in research programs used 325 accesses of the gene pool, in breeding programs 55 samples of buckwheat and vetch were used, 94 samples of soft winter wheat and barley were tested. Together with the scientists of the Рlant Production Institute nd. a. V. Y. Yuryev created 4 varieties of wheat. Carried out a scientific-practical conference and a meeting of two round tables. Held in cooperation of more than 50 research institutions and educational institutions of Ukraine and abroad. The resulting assignment of scientific and technical products (collections, accesses, catalogs, databases, etc.) are the new material, which has no analogue in Ukraine.
