V. Ya. Yuriev popup.description2 Study Object: Spring triticale breeding. Study Purpose: To create multi-purpose valuable breeding material and spring triticale varieties with a combination of increased yield capacity, adaptability and technological quality of grain. Theoretical and Practical Results. Spring triticale food varieties Bulat Kharkivskyi and Dostatok Kharkivskyi with high stable yields, lodging resistance, resistance to brown leaf rust and speckled leaf blotch and good technological properties were created and submitted to the state variety trials; spring triticale grain variety Skarb Kharkivskyi with a high yield capacity and nutritional value, increased adaptability to abiotic environmental factors and high starch content was created and submitted to the state variety trials. Ten 10 multi-purpose valuable breeding lines - sources of high yield capacity and adaptability were selected: YaTKh 24-16, YaTKh 50-16, YaTKh 54-16, YaTKh 114-16, YaTKh 125-16, YaTKh 137-16, YaTKh 473-16, YaTKh 338 -16, YaTKh 365-16, and YaTKh 389-16. Use of the breeding material created will accelerate the breeding of adaptable varieties by 2-3 years, contribute to creation of spring triticale varieties, which can give stable yields under various environmental conditions, including unfavorable weather conditions during the growing season. The Scientific Novelty consists in combining a set of valuable features and properties, in particular high grain productivity, high grain and flour quality as well as adaptability to abiotic environmental factors, in one genotype. Increased resistance of varieties to unfavorable biotic factors (diseases and pests) allows exclusion of seed dressing and treatment of crops with fungicides from the technological process and significant reduction in use of insecticides. This will improve the environmental friendliness of cultivation; reduce the pesticide burden on the environment, workers and consumers. The profitability of grain cultivation increases by 10-15%.  Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
