Yuriev popup.description2 Study object - seed crops of spring barley and spring wheat, plant growth regulators Vermistim, Gulliver, Stymovit and Fresh and microfertilizers Mira, Vermimag, Vuksal and Titon Zlaki. Study purpose - to investigate the effects of plant growth regulators and microfertilizers on the yields and sowing qualities of seeds from the super elite to the first generation (CH-1) of spring barley and spring wheat. Research methods - field and laboratory experiments. Collection, accumulation and processing of information on a computer. The effects of modern plant growth regulators on the growth and development of plants, yields and sowing qualities of the obtained seeds of spring barley and wheat were studied in the sectors of elite and certified seed production. The most effective agents and methods of their application on each of the crops, which significantly accelerate the reproduction of new varieties by increasing the seed production in each branch of seed production, were identified. Pre-sowing treatment of seeds with plant growth regulators or microfertilizers increases the barley yields on average by 0.11–0.29 t/ha, and the spring wheat yields - by 0.09–0.20 t/ha. Seed treatment and double spraying of plants with growth regulators and microfertilizers are more effective: the gain in the seed yield is within 0.16–0.31 t/ha and 0.13–0.22 t/ha, respectively. The germinability of the seeds obtained is increased by 2-3%. Annual use of growth regulators and microfertilizers in reproduction of new spring barley and wheat varieties from super elite to the first generation, included, makes it possible to additionally produce 188 - 398 and 86 - 127 tons of the first generation seeds with improved sowing qualities, respectively.
