The sensor was connected to the universal input of the so-called "volt" module VB8-E of the LMS SCADAS Mobile recorder. The amplitude and temporal characteristics of the sensor and the setup were investigated. The efficiency of the modernized shock tube setup was experimentally tested by investigating the non-stationary deformation of the thin-walled beam under the action of a shock wave.
