Pisarenko Institute for Problems of Strength of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  During the implementation of the scientific and technical project, an overview of the existing types of glue connections used in the aerospace industry has been reviewed, the main design requirements for their design have been identified. It is established that the most promising in terms of reducing the specific gravity of the design of a modern airplane glider is titanium-composite structures. However, ensuring the reliable connection of such diverse nature materials is an actual and at the same time a complex scientific and technical problem, the solution of which requires the involvement of specialists from various fields of science. The solution of this problem in the framework of carrying out the scientific and technical project was carried out due to the development of glutinous polymer compositions and further experimental determination of their adhesion strength to the selected materials. Adhesive polymer compositions and adhesive bonding technology have been developed to provide a reliable adhesion to the titanium alloy. Experimental studies have been carried out to determine the influence of technological parameters such as the temperature regime of solidification, the thickness of the adhesive polymer composition and the technology of processing adhesive surfaces on adhesion strength. It has been determined that the stresses in the displacement tests are in the range of 18-35 MPa, and the highest adhesion strength is characteristic for specimens with the smallest thickness of the glutinous polymer composition. These polymer compositions were used to glued the titanium and composite portions of the hybrid structure. By analogy, experimental studies were carried out to determine the effect of surface treatment of glued parts of samples on their adhesion strength. It is determined that machining results in an increase in adhesion strength properties by 30%. However, its overall level for hybrid structures decreases in relation to titanium in 2.5-4 times.
