The aim of the work is to study the spatial and temporal organization of populations and communities of different species of vertebrate animals in natural and anthropogenic landscapes of the main natural zones of Ukraine under various environment factors, both natural and anthropogenic, as well as analysis of the status of populations of the studied groups of species in the light of objectives of biodiversity conservation. Research methods: field observations, statistical, work with collections, cataloguing, standard methods of ecological-geographical and genetic population research, methods of multidimensional statistical data processing. In the work the data on the results of research on the next themes are given: 1) bat communities of different natural zones of Ukraine, their representation, structure, time and spatial dynamics; 2) distribution and population ecology of colonial waterbirds in the natural and transformed ecosystems of the Middle Dnieper; 3) spatial-temporal aspects of the formation of morphological diversity in the populations of gray polyves of Ukraine.
