It was found that for the obtained Ag2S semiconductor nanoparticles, absorption peaks at 315 nm and 470 nm (P. ostreatus) and 440 nm (L. maroccana) wavelengths are characteristic. It is found that for these nanoparticles, luminescence is in the near infrared range. The biological activity of the synthesized quantum dots of Ag2S on bacterial and plant cells, on the cells of the phagocytic system of rats, and also on the model organism Drosophila melanogaster was carried out. In particular, it has been found that the synthesized Ag2S nanoparticles have antibacterial properties in relation to Escherichia coli and Bacillus thuringensis, exhibit anti-mitotic properties during the Allium test and have no effect on the viability of tobacco protoplates. The Ag2S nanoparticles produced by "green synthesis" did not show cytotoxic effects and did not inhibit the phagocytic activity of cells of the phagocytic system of rats, which makes them attractive in future for use in preclinical and medical-biological studies. The result of the mutagenicity test on Drosophila melanogaster indicates a lack of mutagenic action of Ag2S biosynthetic nanoparticles. Thus, Ag2S quantum dots synthesized with mushroom and plant matrices are a new promising development for medical-biological research.
