Amount of information obtained in the CMS experiment and transferred for processing to the T2_UA_KIPT site has reached 5.6 PB, with more than one third of this array being transferred in 2018. Despite the difficulties caused by the lack (by factor of ~2.5-3.5 with respect to the CMS requirements) of disk and computing resources, a high quality of center operation was provided in 2018. This operation was accounted for in 2018 by the CMS conveners as 5.6 months of contribution to the experiment, what is a quite satisfactory result. Intensive work on physics analysis of the data obtained in the CMS experiment was also carried out. A SUSY signal, direct production of slepton and chargino pairs, was searched for in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV. The event sample analyzed in 2018 corresponded to the integral luminosity of 35.9 fb-1, what is a complete dataset recorded by the CMS in 2016. Events with a pair of reconstructed opposite-sign leptons and fairly big missing transverse momentum were selected. To minimize the systematic uncertainties, several analysis algorithms were considered. Furthermore, the analysis was for the first time accomplished for the entire range of the slepton, chargino and lightest neutralino masses. As a result, the exclusion area for these masses has been considerably extended compared to our earlier studies. Within the CMS endcap calorimetry upgrade program, studies have been carried out on radiation resistance of the SCSN-81 (Kuraray) scintillator which is presently used in this calorimeter. The irradiation runs took place at the NSC KIPT electron linac with the exit beam energy of ~9 MeV. New data have been obtained on the dependence of light yield suppression in the SCSN-81 scintillator on the dose rate. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
