The object of research is the paradigm of environmentalization in the context of the development of the welfare state. The subject of the study is theoretical and methodological principles of the justification of the paradigm of environmentalization of the national economy, mechanisms and tools for managing ecologization in the modern paradigm of the welfare state. The goal is to develop theoretical and methodological provisions to justify the new paradigm of welfare states development in the context of ecologization, in which the conceptual foundations of socioeconomic policy require new theoretical and practical support. Methods of research - historical, logical, comparative, cluster analysis, as well as correlation and regression methods of statistical analysis. The results and their novelty - the inadequacy of the traditional concepts of the development of the welfare state and socio-economic policies has been proved; the role of ecological culture in formation of a new paradigm of the state of welfare is substantiated; the stages of development of the welfare states with the focus of the focus period for the purposes of sustainable development and the ecological component of economic progress are analyzed; the role of the Kuznets environmental curve in transforming ideas about the importance of the public good "quality environment" is substantiated; the guidelines for the development of the welfare state with regard to the ecological factor are proposed; classification of welfare states according to the criteria of the quality of institutions and ecology; reasonable focused approach to the environmental measurement of the welfare state; the influence of the quality of public policy and values ​​on ensuring ecological welfare is analyzed; the influence of resource curse on the quality of institutions is analyzed; The vectors of development of the welfare state with consideration of the ecological factor are proposed.
