Created "nanoparticle-PS" complexes were shown to be effective for reactive oxygen species generation with an increase the hydroxyl radicals and singlet oxygen levels in aqueous solutions under UV irradiation; in such complexes, nanoparticles act as energy transducers absorbing the high-energy quanta and transmitting the energy to the organic PS. Created systems are prospective for applications in theranostics. Liquid crystal systems with dispersed carbon nanotubes were created, in which a Fredericks-type transition was performed under the action of an electric field, and it was shown that the threshold voltage of such a transition (and corresponding electrooptical effect) can be reduced by UV radiation of a liquid crystal cell.
