Object - body system adaptation to night work. The purpose - to reveal the age differences of the system adaptation in the human body to perform night works, their effects on the functional body state of workers and to develop the prophylactic measures. Methods - informational, hygienic, psychological, physiological, chronobiological, mathematical-statistical. It was found that those who systematically perform harmful night work under high physical and/or nervous-emotional tension biologically get older than their peers: miners, surgeons and mining rescuers (work conditions Classes 3.3-4) - in 17, 8.5 and 5.3 years respectively, forming the risk groups of the increased morbidity and workability premature loss. The general age-pattern of adaptation to night work is the weakening of hemodynamics against the background of overweight and abdominal obesity (especially at 30-50 y.o.), the predominance of parasympathetic tone and the disorder of the normal type of blood circulation self-regulation - the known risk factors of cardiovascular pathology development. The functional state of the circulatory system at 43-48 y.o. passes into the class "below average", 52-58 y.o. - in the "low" class - before the retirement age, that gives the grounds to raise the issue to reduce the retirement age of night workers. Specific negative age patterns of adaptation are manifested under the accompanying harmful factors of work conditions (Class 3.2 and above). Age-dependent preservation of blood supply to the brain or oxygen supply to the body in workers of intense mental work under moderately harmful work conditions (Class 3.1) was revealed. The results of the research will be used in further research to improve the physiological-hygienic standardization of work for night workers.
