Research methods: acid treatment, heat treatment of samples, modification of activated carbon; coagulation; electrochemical coagulant production processes; methods for assessing the structural sorption properties of modified sorbents. Main results: the efficiency of purification of natural and waste waters by the methods of sorption and coagulation was evaluated using materials derived from the use of red mud neutralization products. Modified AС samples with different contents of the composite catalyst based on Fe2O3 were obtained. Modification of AU was carried out in an energy-intensive reactor with a heating temperature in the range (200-700) ° C. The efficiency of sorbents in the extraction of both organic and inorganic compounds from water was evaluated. The effectiveness of the use of composite coagulant and the specifics of its use in the purification of high-color Dnieper water are investigated.
