Lashkaryov Institute of semiconductor physics popup.description2 Based on a detailed analysis of triplet EPR spectra with NTV constant splitting A = 34 Gs it is shown that their origin is related to the nitroxyl radicals selfformed in samples of heparin due to the presence of nitrogen atoms in its structure and taking into account the probable non-stoichiometric composition of the samples. It has been established that centers with g <2.0023 belong to carbon radicals, and centers with g >> 2.0023 - to uncontrolled impurities, including iron oxides or gadolinium. Paramagnetic defects of various nature with a concentration of Ns = 1.6 × 10^14 ÷ 4.8 × 10^15 cm-3 are observed in all investigated samples of heparin.
