The study on the effect of ionic strength of the solution on binding of porphyrin conjugates to duplex and quadruplex DNA revealed that its increase resulted in the decrease of affinity of charged ligands to both DNA forms, with simultaneous increase of their selectivity to G4. Structures and energies of a number of ligands based on acridines and porphyrins and their complexes with G4-DNA were calculated. Protocol of DNA ligands screening was optiomized.
