The purpose of the study - the theoretical and methodological support for the study of pathological crisis processes in the real sector of the economy. Methods of research - theoretical generalization, analysis, synthesis, statistical analysis, system analysis, simulation modeling, content analysis. The most important research results and their novelty: - the concept of the origin and development of pathological crisis processes in the real sector of the national economy is substantiated; - the essence of concepts "economic crisis" and "financial crisis" is specified; - the classification of crisis processes in the economy has been improved on the basis of such features as scale, attitude towards the national economy and social and functional affiliation; - the essence of the concept "pathological process" is clarified in the context of pathoeconomics as the formation of imbalances, the formation of disproportions and the suppression of bubbles in various sectors of the economy; - the structural-logical model of recognition of pathological crisis processes in the real sector of the country's economy was developed. The obtained results on the topic used in the work of the Executive Committee of the Kharkiv City Council (certificate number 08-08 / 5114 / 5-18 dated 19.12.2018). Developments are based on the results of previous fundamental and applied research, in particular: - "Ensuring economic security of Ukraine in the context of integration into the EU" (2015 - 2017); - "Neoindustrial Economic Policy of Ukraine on the basis of convergent technologies" (2016); - "Mechanisms of state regulation of industrial restructuring" (2014-2016); - "Building the Potential of Sustainable Development of Ukraine's Regions in the Context of Implementing Economic Reforms" (2013-2014).
