The object of the project is the space weather, the structural components of which are the ionosphere and the magnetosphere of the Earth. Methods and equipment - data of monitoring measurements recorded by research facilities located at the Ukrainian Antarctic station, in the Arctic and Ukraine are used. New model assumptions, calculation techniques and software developed by the project participants were applied for data processing. Results and scientific novelty - a phenomenological model of the land temperature coupling with a global lightning activity was created. The functional scheme of the VLF facility intended for the Antarctic station "Academician Vernadsky" is developed. The database of ELF observations in the interferometric modewas built and used for mapping of super-power lightning discharges. The results obtained are of great scientific and practical importance, because they implement new techniques of observations and calculations of the characteristics of the world's thunderstorm activity and parameters of the ionosphere.
