The aim of the work is to identify the taxonomic structure and the peculiarities of the bionomy of parasitic hymenopterans of Ukraine and other regions. Research methods are the collection of material using standard entomological approaches (sweep netting, collecting on plants, individual rearings from plants and host immature stages), laboratory treatment of the material, imaging. As a result of rigorous studies on fossil and recent materials during 2016-2018 the faunistic and taxonomic diversity of chalcidoid and ichneumonoid parasitoids, chtysidoid, scoliid and typhiid wasps, as well as the ants, was estimated for the fauna of Ukraine and other regions: 2 genera and 30 species are first recorded for the fauna of Ukraine, 11 new genera and 47 new species of hymenopterans were described as new for science; of them: 3 new genera and 16 new species of extant and 8 genera and 31 species of extinct (fossil) insects. The peculiarities of morphology, parasite-host associations, distribution, phylogeny and evolution of the studied groups of insects, were investigated. The perspectives of their practical use in nature conservation programs and biological plant protection, were discussed. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
