Methods of research: ethnographic and ethno-historical methods (complex of field methods: (interviewing, included observation), historical-comparative, systematic analysis, method of sociolinguistics and narrative analysis. Results and their novelty: the historical and socio-anthropological contexts of the emergence of conflict situations in different cultural and historical contexts of the 20th century are investigated; The strategies and tactics of survival in the conditions of state repressions (political and ethnic cleansing, deportations) are studied, individual and group strategies of adaptation to conflict situations are investigated, experience of armed and political conflicts of the first half of the twentieth century is analyzed; analyzed the reflection of the phenomenon of identity in various aspects of social life: traditional diet, ethnic customs, state policy, education; A contextual interpretation of the historical experience of the twentieth century was held; the reflection of past events in the collective memory of the population was traced; the identification of the interdependence between today's conflicts and crises in the past.
