The reducing of electron mobility in CdTe and CdZnTe can be caused by the formation of clusters, even when the total concentration of impurities on the condition of their uniform distribution in the volume of the crystal reaches ~ 1016 cm-3. Harmful impurities are identified in the output Cd, Zn, Te and developed processes for targeted purification of raw materials. Experimental ingots of growing raw materials with purity ~ 6N, suitable for growing crystals of solid solution CdZnTe were obtained. The method and the device for obtaining high-purity cadmium and zinc in granular form are developed and processes of passivation of granulated metals by chemical methods are investigated. Granules Cd and Zn were obtained. The technological conditions of the synthesis from the purified raw components of the parent compound - the compound Cd0.9Zn0.1Te of the stoichiometric composition and the Bridgman method - were grown in large-block crystals of a solid solution of CdZnTe with a diameter of 50 mm. An experimental batch of radiation detectors was made and their operational characteristics were determined. It has been established that the experimental batch of detectors contains both counters and detectors that show peaks on spectrograms. Consequently, during the project implementation a cycle of technological steps was implemented: cleaning of raw material of technical quality available in Ukraine, up to 6N purity, growing crystals, their mechanical processing, the production of radiation detectors and determining their performance characteristics.
