The relations connect spatial distribution of deformation components in the pipe’s body with informative parameters that can be measured by ultrasonic methods. On this basis, new direct and inverse problems for determination the stress-strain state of pipelines with the use of empirical data are formulated. The variational methods for solving the problems have been formulated and numerical studies developed. Research results confirmed the suitability of the developed mathematical models and methods to create new non-destructive methods and technical means for determination the stress-strain state of the pipelines.
