The technical characteristics of existing models of additional devices for the design of bulletproof shields, which are offered by developers and manufacturers for the equipment of ATS, and the peculiarities of their testing, were studied and analyzed. In the framework of the GDR, the possibility of using additional devices in the design of bulletproof shields has been substantiated, their technical characteristics have been studied, a program and test methods have been developed. The mentioned scientific achievements and the program and methods will be used in the future to develop a normative base for the selection of models of bulletproof shields and their additional equipment for the needs of law enforcement agencies by comparing the actual results of testing with the results declared by the manufacturers, and will enable the standard to be developed for the general technical conditions for bulletproof shields, which will provide methods for controlling ballistic stability. Also, the developed materials will be used during the research and development work on the further creation of perspective designs of bulletproof shields and the establishment of their serial production.
