It is established that cone beam computed tomography is highly informative in identifying pathological conditions of the maxillofacial area, in evaluating the adaptive capacity of the toothless areas of the jaw for dental implants, in detection of complications after dental implant surgery. At the same time it proved to be uninformative in evaluating the degree of the integration of the bone with the implant. Panoramic scanning is highly informative in evaluation of the degree of the bone integration on the implant stage, as well as on the orthopedic stage of dental implantation and in assessment of the orthopedic structures’ fitting with the gum margin.
