An object of research is establishment and development of Ukrainian light-music since 1960s till nowadays. A purpose of research is to represent the phenomenon of Ukrainian light-music as the structural process and significant artistic practice in the history of Ukrainian contemporary art and media art in particular. Methods of research were detailed examination of scientific publications on the research object; surveying archival materials; analysis and systematization of the collected data. The researcher developed the methodology of researching local media archaeologic phenomena that was underrepresented in the history of Ukrainian art culture and remained out of scientific focus. The formative model of the integral historical narrative of Ukrainian light-music theatres as a phenomenon was created as a part or the research and was implemented in the form of the timeline tables annexed to the online version of the study. The concept of the free access multimedia online publication of the study was developed; according to the concept this version of the study contains result of the research conducted by the lead researcher, interviews with founders and workers of Ukrainian light-music theatres as well as other local light-music practitioners and contains archival materials. All of this data is represented in the most convenient was to be used and studied by researchers globally. Another facility is that the results of the research are presented as an interactive timeline and a map to ease further researches for everybody concerned.
