Research is aimed at detailed study and formulation of the natural phenomenon of automatic balancing, which is introduced by liquid automatic balancing device (ABD), with consideration of hydrodynamic interaction between components in the system liquid-ABD and development of the theory for automatic balancing of rotors by liquid and loose agents, which are neither driven nor powered, and also experimental verification of this theory by engaging high-speed video-shooting motion of the agents. Research methods are: theoretical study of automatic balancing process by using mathematical modeling; research of liquid's motion in ABD chamber and efficiency assessment for liquid automatic balancing of rotors conducted by using analytical geometry, analytical hydrodynamics. Mathematical modeling of motion of the liquid, which is the agent in ABD chamber, is based on statements in dynamics for solids of revolution spaced by volumes partly filled with liquid, with consideration of hydraulic properties of liquid and outer damping. Experimental research of liquid ABD operation was conducted by engaging high-speed video-shooting in custom-made vibration test stands. The project result is represented by experimentally testified theory for automatic balancing by liquid agents, what issues in creation of methodology for efficiency assessment in process of automatic balancing with respect to parameters of rotating system, ABD and agents.
