Object of research - social relations that arise in the process of state-building and law-making processes in Ukraine. The purpose of the research work is to analyze the theoretical, political and legal, organizational and procedural principles of state-building and law-making processes in Ukraine and to identify ways of reforming them. Methods of research. The set of philosophical, general scientific and socio-legal methods form the basis of the research topic. The following methods were used in the work: the hermeneutical method was used in the process of analysis of the content and interpretation of texts of historical sources of law, constitutional and law enforcement acts, research of scientific approaches to understanding the constitutional and legal status of the head of state; the dialectical method is used to clarify the preconditions for the emergence, establishment and development of state authorities; historical and legal method applied in the process of study of doctrinal interpretations, normative regulation, methodology and genesis of state authorities; with the help of the axiological method, the influence of the worldview on the formation and development of state-building and law-making processes in Ukraine was determined.
