It is shown that the catalytic factor depends on both the cone angle and the extent of oversaturation of a solution. In the case of a good moistening the presence of a surface defect leads to a considerable shift of the spinodal towards a lower oversaturation in comparison with the heterogeneous nucleation on a flat surface, that is on a rough surface the heterogeneous nucleation proceeds more intensively than on a flat surface. It is shown that as the cone angle of a pore decreases the heterogeneous spinodal approaches to the binodal and the region of metastability shrinks owing to an expansion of the instability region.
