In particular, the reactivity of nanoscale oxides in the process of conversion of biomass to ketene increases in the same manner as in the case of valerian acid: SiO2> TiO2 / SiO2> Al2O3 / SiO2. The most effective catalyst in the conversion of biomass to ketones was the nanocomposite CeO2 / SiO2 with the highest percentage of CeO2 nanoparticles (24%). The regularities are important for the creation of green biomass catalytic pyrolysis technology, because these processes meet the basic criteria which include the technology to green, renewable resource use, use of waste products, no toxic solvents, the use of catalysts that reduce energy consumption.
