The aim of the work is to conduct a study of the explosiveness of coal dust in coal samples for Public Joint-stock Company of "DTEK Dobropolskaya Centrally washery". Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, a “Method for determining the volatile matter of coal seams and the lower limits of explosive coal dust” was developed. The analysis of coal dust from the Dobropolskaya mine (Public Joint-stock Company of "DTEK Dobropolskaya Centrally washery") was carried out, layer l3 of the horizon 450 m, coal grade “G” for explosiveness in the laboratory of the department of control of dynamic manifestations of rock pressure. Issued a conclusion on the explosiveness of dust and the need for anti-dust measures in accordance with the requirements of NPAOІI 10.0-1.03-90 "Safety rules at the enterprises for the enrichment and briquetting of coal (shale)." As a result of the application of the developed recommendations, safety has been ensured in the course of concentrating operations, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
