The aim of the work is to improve the existing equipment for the processing of light industrial waste, having different physical and mechanical properties, which can increase the energy efficiency of grinding processes and the durability of rotary crusher operation. Research methods. Theoretical studies are based on the main provisions of the technology of light industry and processing of polymer and leather materials, the theory of mathematical modeling; physics and mechanics of polymer and leather materials, theoretical mechanics, solid state mechanics. Experimental investigations of the processes of shredding waste of polymeric materials of light industry were carried out on a specially designed experimental installation (rotor-knife crusher) using computerized means for recording data measurements, methods of mathematical planning of experiments. The analysis of experimental data was performed using mathematical statistics methods. The research of the properties of polymeric materials is made on the established experimental installation, observing the requirements of the relevant standards. The mathematical model of the dynamics of a rotary knife driven drive for the processing of light industry waste is developed, which allows us to correctly select the rational parameters of the drive, depending on the physical and mechanical properties and the geometric dimensions of the crushed waste of light industry. The expressions for determining the duration of the transient processes of the rotary crusher are obtained, depending on the geometric dimensions of the shredded waste, the number of moving knives of the rotor and the fixed knives of the case.
