The purpose of the work is to conduct a study of the sources of methane emission and develop recommendations for the release of outgoing air stream from the preparatory face into a fresh stream of air entering the treatment plant, preparatory mine workings, to agree on a project for the isolated removal of methane from the mined-out area of the mine "Western-Donbaska" PSS of "TernivskеMineGroup" Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol". Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of this work, the technical documentation for mining 1037 and 863 lavas and carrying out blind workings was analyzed. The calculation of the parameters of the isolated removal of methane from the depleted space of 1037 lava of the С10v reservoir was carried out. Recommendations were developed for ensuring the dust-gas safety of work during the dead-end workings of the mine "Western-Donbaska" when installing their local ventilation fans in the workings with outgoing air flow. Developed "Recommendations for ensuring gas safety of 863 lavas of the с8n formation when using a return-flow ventilation scheme, type 1-M with isolated removal of methane from the exhausted space outside the excavation section of uncontrolled generation and rigid pipelines using a gas-suction unit and due to a general depression." The use of a reciprocating scheme for ventilation of the excavation section 863 of the c8n lava of the reservoir, type 1-M, with an isolated removal of methane from the open space outside the excavation section has been agreed with the help of a gas suction unit and provided for the implementation of the developed recommendations for gas safety.
