Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for working out 916 lavas of the seam c9 of the Zapadno-Donbasskaya mine of the PSS "TernivskеMineGroup" Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol" was analyzed. The calculation of the flow rate of air supplied to the lava at 916 side drift, and the effectiveness of isolated removal of methane from the mined-out space through uncontrolled workings due to a general depression.
