Volume 2. 2018 popup.stage_title Head Ponomareva Alena A., Registration Date 10-05-2019 Organization National natural park "Nizhnedneprovsky" popup.description2 The basis of the national natural park “Nyzhnodniprovsky” is the delta of the Dnipro, the third in size river in Europe and the second in the Black-Sea basin, which is characterized by the biodiversity and is of great importance for its preservation. The total area of NNP is 80177.80 hectares of public domain. In accordance with a nature protection legislation the territory of NNP “Nyzhnodniprovsky” is divided into the following areas: reserved area (6%), controlled recreation area (19%), stationary recreation area (2%) and administrative area (73%). There are five research departments: Kozatske, Tiahinske, Oleshkivske, Bilozerske and Heroiske. The territory of the national natural park includes 15 national and local objects of the wildlife refuges of Ukraine and international wetlands of “Dnipro Delta”. In the Park there are 516 species of vascular plants, more than 1000 invertebrate water animals, 67 species of fish, 9 species of amphibious, 9 species of reptiles, 258 species of birds, 40 species of mammals. 350 species of biota, among which there are 62 types of plants and fungi and 288 species of animals, are included into different nature protection lists. 147 species of biota, including 29 types of plants and fungi and 118 species of animals, are presented in the Red book of Ukraine. The Green book of Ukraine contains the information about 21 plant groups.
